Donkey Derby Days has been the primary fundraiser for the Two Mile High Club since 1931. This annual three-day festival serves as the largest fundraiser for the Club, which provides essential support for the Cripple Creek Donkeys. Donkey Derby Days celebrates our region's rich history and the significant role that donkeys played in that history.
The celebration includes music, an annual parade, Donkey Derby Races, great food, family attractions, and vendors. People come from all over the nation to celebrate this favorite festival!
Join Us!
Support the Two Mile High Club by joining us at our annual Donkey Derby Days event every August. This year, 2024, it will take place on June 28, 29 and 30.It's a free event that's fun for the whole family, with plenty of activities to enjoy.

Your attendance helps us raise much-needed funds to care for our beloved Cripple Creek Donkeys. So, please mark your calendars and join us for a weekend of donkey races, live music, vendors, and more!
WHAT'S HAPPENING
Vendors
Enjoy everything from Boho clothing and jewelry to soap and candles, wood carvings and metal signs, to name but a few. Please your palette with crepes or Mexican food, BBQ, sausages, turkey legs and more. Vendors are located on Bennett between 2nd and 5th.

Parade
The Annual Parade features a Color Guard, old-fashioned floats, horses, historical re-enactments, music, classic cars, and more! This Parade is a not to miss!
Races
Always a favorite, the Donkey Derby Races showcase a pack donkey with a team of two people; a donkey handler and a runner, trying to coerce and persuade their beloved donkey to be the first across the finish line on Bennett Avenue. Sounds easy, but there is no accounting for stubborn donkeys along the way!

Race registration will open May 15th at 8am.
Kids Zone
Join us at the Kids Zone Saturday and Sunday for a whirlwind of excitement at the Donkey Derby Days. The Kids Zone provides fun family entertainment for kids of all ages. Don’t miss out on this incredible family experience!
Concerts
Music is the heart of a grand celebration, and this year's lineup will not disappoint! Music in many genres will fill the streets! Some of your favorite regional favorites will play country, bluegrass, classic rock, and folk music, to name a few.
